WeatherTech 12 Hours of Sebring

The second race of the WeatherTech SportsCart Championship schedule was hosted at Sebring International Speedway. I’ve heard a lot from local drivers regarding this track and have seen many photos on social media and I luckily was able to come out myself and photograph this wild bumpy track. This race was completely packed with fans! More than the track has ever had! It was for sure a very hot day so staying hydrated and taking breaks to cool down was a must. The entire race was constant battles for positions. Sebring is know for some very difficult driving due to how old the track is. This track has been continuously running since the 1950s! One of the oldest in the United States and you could tell with the many yellow flags being waved during the race ensuing bringing out the safety car and slowing the pace. This didn’t stop the drivers and teams, though. As soon as the safety car returned to the pits and the green flag was waved, all the drivers pressed hard on the accelerator and resumed burning rubber. An exciting Saturday and for sure a favorite noted in the books.
